Anna Ferguson graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Her knowledge of yoga and style of teaching is derived from many yoga practices, including that of ahimsa, non-violence and years of education with gifted teachers, master yoga practitioners and gurus. In addition to outside experience, Anna has pursued her own creative research, study and personal practice. During college Anna was introduced to yoga & completed a 200-hour Ashtanga course with It's Yoga in Cincinnati. She continued on to do a 500-hour yoga teacher-training course, studying extensively with Doug Swenson, a 300-hour Jivamukti Yoga teacher training guided by the highly respected yoga masters Sharon Gannon and David Life, a 20-hour Yin yoga course and 60-hour Yoga-Anatomy teacher training with Paul Grilley and a prenatal/postnatal and kids yoga certification.
Anna is the director of the World Peace Yoga Teacher Training/Certification programs. Based on the 300-hour Foundational Yoga Teacher Training offered at WPY, she also developed a Yoga Alliance recognized certification program for Cincinnati State; one of the first colleges in the country to offer such a unique program. She is the creator of World Peace Yoga, a style of yoga which inspires peace in action through the practice of ahimsa and a vegan lifestyle.
Anna is eternally grateful for the teachings of Sharon Gannon, David Life and Will Tuttle - all committed vegans and spiritual activists that devote their lives to serving others. It is Will Tuttle's book The World Peace Diet that inspired her to create the World Peace Yoga practice and World Peace & Yoga Jubilee. Her teachers Sharon & David have and continue to provide Anna with great inspiration in yoga, activism and changing the world.
