In this training, you will learn how to conduct Diet of Enlightenment Study Groups so you can better communicate a message of peace and kindness and how this relates to the vegan lifestyle.
Training Includes:
Anthropologist Margaret Mead said, “A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
In a typical study group, each class will begin by sharing a delicious meal together. You'll try out tasty vegan dishes; recipes will be shared and discussed, along with food replacement ideas. Inspired by the book "Yoga and Vegetarianism" by Sharon Gannon, the study group is designed to create open discussion and communication. Throughout the study group, we explore the yoga sutras of Patanjali with discussion on asana, the yamas and other aspects of yoga philosophy and how it relates to our food choices and attaining a state of liberation, peace & bliss through direct action. In each class we will discuss a chapter of the book, preview films/documentaries, and explore how to make changes in our eating habits.
The joy, the liberation, the ecstasy, the freedom, and the peace are almost beyond comprehension until one actually participates and becomes the change. That is what the course, these discussions, activities, and new habits create as we incorporate the Diet of Enlightenment/World Peace Diet’s vegan lifestyle of compassion, kindness, empathy, and gratitude into our daily lives. We realize we are pioneers, activist moms and dads, sons and daughters, and guardians of this planet as we live this simple and deeply rooted foundational life together. We will laugh, cry, moan, yawn, eat delicious food, and jump for joy as we realize our genuineness in creating a peaceful, authentic community and world.
