Phyllis Stuart

Phyllis Stuart’s first experience with yoga was in her early 20’s taking classes for a short period of time with Lilias, who was teaching at Mount St. Joseph College in Cincinnati. Years later re-visiting yoga she noticed how yoga reduced the pain from past injuries, while increasing her flexibility and range of motion. Since then Phyllis has been exploring different styles of yoga, with some amazing teachers and experiencing the peace and renewed vitality that comes with this lifestyle. It was at a yoga class in Burnet Woods that she first heard about World Peace Yoga. She then went to an open house at World Peace Yoga and within a week signed up for the Teacher Training.

Phyllis’s love for yoga is said to be quite contagious, which creates an instant rapport and trust with students.  Her mission is to create a safe space that brings a deeper desire to connect with the spiritual aspects of body-mind- spirit and in doing so we awaken our divine nature that is love.

Perhaps express best in a poem...Looking deep inside opening secrets, locked away in the Heart releases, love that knows no bounds. A passage from Julia Butterfly Hills book, Becoming.

Phyllis has completed the 300-hour Yoga Certification with World Peace Yoga.

As a young girl, she always surrounded herself with nature and had a strong connection with animals. While living on a small farm in her youth she started noticing how different energies affected her and the people around her. Making a career as a Healing Touch Practitioner she trained with Rosalyn L. Bruyere, who wrote Wheels of Light; Donna Eden, studying the principles of Energy Medicine and Janet Mentgen, who founded Healing Touch International. Phyllis has been practicing Healing Touch for over 20 years and has recently added Reiki to her modalities for healing work.

Phyllis looks forward to bridging her Love of Yoga with her Love for Healing Touch.
